More Than Just Basketball: LeBron Gives Game-Worn Sneakers to Special Olympian NBA Yesterday LeBron James made headlines for something other than his usual extraordinary play on the court. Aside from stating that he doesn’t know who Under Armour is (come on Bron we know that you’re very familiar with Steph and his sneakers), he also had a really touching moment during the game in Boston yesterday. During halftime in yesterday’s game the Celtics recognized Special Olympian Aaron Miller, who was at the game, for winning MVP at a recent Special Olympics competition in the city. Miller, 16, reportedly was born with severe brain damage and was told by doctors he would be physically and mentally paralyzed for life. But after “thousands of hours” of surgery and physical therapy, he competes on his school’s golf and basketball teams.
